Back in 1999, two adventurous souls, Paul and Veronica, left the sandy beaches of their Australian homeland for the charm of San Antonio, Texas, to create About Australia. Their mission? To share the authentic and enchanting experiences of Australia with North Americans, guided by three core values: delivering on promises, providing exceptional customer service, and creating tailor-made journeys that reflect the unique interests, budgets, and timelines of every traveler.

Little did they know, this was just the start of an incredible journey! Over the years, About Australia expanded its expertise to include New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, and other stunning destinations in the South Pacific. Each destination became a new chapter in our story—a canvas of adventures as diverse as the coral reefs and landscapes beneath Pacific skies.

Then, in 2020, the world came to a standstill. COVID-19 shuttered South Pacific borders, yet our team rose to the challenge. Working tirelessly with airlines, vendors, and operators, we prioritized the safety of our clients, assisting those traveling to return home swiftly and securely. As time went on, we negotiated tirelessly to extend deferral deadlines, ensuring that our clients’ dreams of exploring the South Pacific wouldn’t fade away.

In 2021, a new chapter unfolded as Paul and Veronica retired, returning to their beloved Australia after decades of inspiring travelers across North America. Their amazing legacy was lovingly passed on to three long-time employees, Melanie, Sally, and Melissa, who continue to carry the torch of their vision.
