- Promoter: The prize draw is promoted by About Australia, located at 1846 North Loop 1604 W, Ste 205, San Antonio, Texas 78248 (USA). By entering, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
- Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, aged 21 or over at time of entry. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Promoter or prize suppliers are not eligible. Must be able to travel internationally and hold valid passport and any required visas. No purchase necessary to enter.
- Events, How to Enter & Prize Count: Attendance at one of the listed events is required to enter. Eligible attendees receive one opportunity to play the event trivia game. Three (3) identical prizes will be awarded — one prize at each event:
Los Angeles, CA — August 24, 2026 (prize draw/location: California)
San Francisco, CA — August 25, 2026 (prize draw/location: California)
Vancouver, BC — August 27, 2026 (prize draw/location: Canada) The person who accumulates the most points during the trivia session at each event will be declared that event’s winner.
- Winner Selection & Tie-Breaker: The entrant with the highest trivia score at the end of the game wins the prize for that event. In the event of a tie, a single tie-breaker question (decided by the quizmaster) will determine the winner. The Promoter’s decision is final.
- Prize Description: Each prize consists of:
Roundtrip economy airfare for one (1) winner from either Los Angeles, USA (LAX) or Vancouver, Canada (YVR) to Cairns, Australia with standard routing via Nadi, Fiji (NAN), as determined by the Promoter (origin depends on which city the winner is eligible to fly from);
Accommodation hotel/s selected by the Promoter (TBD check back for updates);
A selection of guided tours in Tropical North Queensland as determined by the Promoter (TBD check back for updates);
Airport transfers in destination (arrival and departure).
Prize does not include ground transportation to the departure airport, travel insurance, meals not specified by included tours, gratuities, personal expenses, taxes or other incidental costs unless expressly stated.
- Prize Conditions: Prize is subject to supplier availability and blackout dates. Travel must be completed by [travel-by date (TBD check back for updates)] or prize is forfeited. Exact travel dates and itinerary will be arranged between the winner and the Promoter/prize suppliers and are subject to airline and supplier schedules. The winner must travel on the dates set by the Promoter.
- Winner Notification: The winner will be notified in person at the event or by email/phone within 7 days following the event. The winner must respond within 30 days to confirm acceptance and provide required travel information. If a winner does not respond within the timeframe, the Promoter may select an alternate winner.
- Identification, Passport & Visas: The winner must possess a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond travel dates and obtain any required visas, vaccinations or travel authorizations. The Promoter is not responsible for delays or denial of entry due to incomplete documentation.
- Taxes & Insurance: Any taxes, fees, duties or charges imposed on the prize are the responsibility of the winner. Travel insurance is recommended and may be required by the Promoter; the winner is responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering medical, cancellation, baggage and other risks.
- Non-transferable: Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater monetary value.
- Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, image and city of residence for publicity purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Liability & Force Majeure: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its suppliers are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from acceptance or use of a prize, or from travel. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the prize or these Terms & Conditions due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- Health Requirements: The winner is responsible for complying with any health, vaccination or entry requirements required by airlines or destination authorities. The Promoter is not liable for additional costs or cancellations arising from such requirements.
- Personal Data: Personal information collected in connection with the prize will be used by the Promoter for administration of the prize and in accordance with its privacy policy.
- Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Texas, USA. Where required by local rules for Canadian entrants, Canadian provincial law will apply to those entrants. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
