Georgia Mackay is a warm and detail-driven Travel Administrative Specialist at About Australia, bringing a lifelong passion for travel and a deep connection to the South Pacific to everything she does behind the scenes.

Originally from New Zealand, Georgia’s career has always been centered on creating memorable experiences for others. From experiential marketing in New York City to the wine industry in Philadelphia, she has built a professional life around helping people enjoy unforgettable moments. That same drive brought her to About Australia, where she supports our booking team with care, precision, and genuine enthusiasm.

As a Kiwi, Georgia brings an insider’s love for the South Pacific to the team. Traveling around New Zealand holds special meaning for her, especially Queenstown, where she once took the TSS Earnslaw steamship to Walter Peak, the same station where her grandad was a sheep musterer. It’s those personal connections to place that shape how she thinks about travel.

Georgia’s South Pacific bucket list includes completing some of New Zealand’s Great Walks and visiting Fiji for the first time with her best friend, who is Fijian. Outside of the South Pacific, she always finds herself returning to London for its pub culture and charm.

When she’s not helping craft seamless itineraries, Georgia enjoys hiking, wheel throwing, gaming, and reading. Her favorite South Pacific foods are impossible to narrow down, but pies eaten straight out of the paper bag, fish and chips on the beach, and feijoas top the list. And her favorite animal? The tūī.

Georgia’s background in customer experience, her attention to detail, and her genuine connection to the region make her a natural fit for the About Australia team. She cares deeply about making sure every trip is handled with the same thoughtfulness she’d want for her own travels.

A word from Georgia:

What led you to About Australia?

“My love for travel has taken me across the world, from New Zealand to the United States. As a Kiwi, I love being able to contribute to a team of wonderful people who make it their mission to share the beauty of the South Pacific with the world.”
